What is Agentic web?
The agentic web is the emerging pattern where autonomous AI agents — not just people in browsers — read, call, and transact across the web on a user’s behalf. It creates demand for machine-native payments like x402.
When the caller is a program with a budget rather than a person with a credit card, the web needs a way for that program to pay for what it uses, automatically and per request. That’s the gap x402 and Paywall address.
